Japanese Tea is a blessing of nature.
In this land blessed with rich soil, rain, sunshine and wind,
inherited wisdom and skill nurtures tea fields and human life.
We hope this magnificent landscape will be passed
on for generations to come.
- Whether it may be establishing relationships with others, or a way of pampering yourself ...
We believe ”compassion for one another” is at the heart and soul of the Japanese Tea culture.
- This culture is gradually disappearing in a our society, where convenience and pomposity is valued.
We have a responsibility to pass on this precious culture to the next generation.
- To the local environment
- The continued existence of green tea production is threatened by worldwide climate changes.
- Eco-friendly
- All factories have solar panels, and make every effort to save energy. We also actively use materials that can be recycled in the future.
- Ecosystem integrity
- Traditional tea-grass integrated system ”Chagusaba” was certified as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) in 2013. We support this by helping to spread grasses on the furrows of tea fields and sales promotion.
- To the next generation
- The culture of enjoying "Authentic Japanese Tea" is gradually fading. In addition, production of green tea is decreasing due to the aging of farmers and the lack of successors.
- Carrying on Tradition
- We purchase abandoned tea farms and Aracha* factories, and also make an effort to raise the next generation of green tea farmers.
*Unrefined, material of Japanese Tea.
- For better green tea production
- We frequently visit green tea fields and discuss ways to enrich the soil and produce high quality green tea leaves. We also work together with institutions such as universities to study new possibilities of Japanese Tea.
- To the employees
- In Japan we are facing a declining birth rate every year. We believe it is important that people gather together to create new value.
- Diversity
- We recruit employees with diverse backgrounds regardless of sex, age, nationality and various other individual characteristics.
- Tea Laboratory
- We take precedence in space design not only for sensory testing, but also so that employees can actively exchange of opinions. Farmers, tea masters, production, sales and marketing staff gather together to pursue new value to our products.
