Product Description

The temperature of the water is key to brewing delicious Japanese green tea. A Yuzamashi is a traditional Japanese tea vessel used to cool boiling water to the ideal temperature. Simply transferring boiling water into the Yuzamashi lowers the temperature by approximately 10°C (18°F), making it easy to adjust the water temperature for different types of tea.

Made from Shudei, a traditional Japanese red clay, this Yuzamashi features a warm reddish-brown color that comes naturally from the clay itself. Its earthy texture and simple, timeless design add warmth and character to the Japanese tea table. The natural red tones beautifully complement the fresh green of Japanese tea.

Not only is it perfect for use as a Yuzamashi, but its convenient handle also makes it easy to use when preparing matcha, making it a versatile addition to your tea collection.
