A 宝瓶 (Hōhin) is a small, handleless Japanese teapot designed to gently extract the umami of Japanese teas brewed at low temperatures, such as Gyokuro and high-grade sencha, and is also well suited for larger tea leaves. Its compact size makes it ideal for preparing tea for one or two people, and it is commonly used by professionals for tea tasting.
Built in ceramic mesh filter -made of clay.
**It works perfectly with larger leaf teas and tea bags, delivering a smooth and satisfying cup every time.
For fine tea leaves, we recommend using an additional tea strainer.
